My daughter volunteers at the Cherockee Humane Society. She loves working with dogs. The owner knows she will work hard helping get the mutts adopted. Plus she is looking for a dog herself. I have a greed to let her own one by her birthday. We may have to foster one first, just to see how it goes.
I’m not sure why, but she always wants to walk the dogs with issues. At least that’s the way I see it. I’m not sure how she spots them either.
This little dog seem happy in her cage. When we took her out, she would crawl and sort of hid between my legs. It was a little funny. It also makes you realize some of this animals may have had an abusive home. That is very sad.
At least these dogs are now in better care. Most of the people that volunteer and foster are good people. They all look after the animals with love and compassion.
This is the second dog we walked. He is a male American terrier or bull dog mix. Handsome fellow, strong too. This is the type of dog she likes. It’s probably 70 lbs. He settle down once we got him outside the store.
